Crafted from a luxurious blend of natural silk and wool, this warm, thick scarf is both narrow and long, allowing for multiple wraps around the neck for optimal comfort and effortless winter warmth. Its exceptional softness is matched by a contemporary design featuring a mix of weaves and fluid stripes in vibrant blue, beige, and navy tones. Ideal for complementing a variety of winter ensembles, this scarf makes an excellent gift cherished by any man, regardless of his fashion sensibilities. Proudly crafted in our Lyon, France workshop, this scarf is a testament to skilled craftsmanship.
INSPIRATION

Drawing inspiration from geological strata, our design mimics the layering of stone seen in ancient rock formations. This results in a pattern of irregular, fragmented stripes in a palette of colors that seem almost accidental. Our stylist selected a mix of wools with different weights to enhance the weaving pattern's design and to give the fringes a fuller appearance. The color scheme, while warm, features bright blue, beige, and navy, which collectively brighten the entire piece.

OUTFIT PAIRING IDEAS

Effortlessly pairing with nearly any outfit, from classic to casual, this scarf brings a touch of sophistication to your look. It complements a brown coat or suit, a leather jacket, or even a navy parka. Truly, it's an essential item in every man's wardrobe.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

For washing a wool scarf, it's recommended to hand wash it. Avoid soaking it for an extended period. To dry, place the scarf between layers of a cotton towel to absorb the extra moisture without wringing or twisting. Afterwards, lay the scarf out flat to dry. Ironing with steam on a high setting can help return the scarf's softness and texture. Never put it in the dryer, but dry cleaning is a suitable alternative.

TRADITIONALLY MADE

The scarf's weaving technique involves intertwining silk warp threads with cashmere and cotton weft threads, following a unique pattern. This is achieved using Jacquard looms at the Fabrique d’Écharpe weaving studio. The Jacquard loom, invented in 1801 by Joseph Marie Jacquard from Lyon, was the first machine that used perforated cards to program the weaving of different colored threads into intricate designs. Owing to the artisanal weaving expertise passed down since 1880, we now utilize electronically controlled looms that ensure the scarf is crafted with exceptional quality, while still honoring the traditional Lyon Jacquard weaving practices.
