Crafted from a luxurious blend of natural silk and wool, this warm, thick scarf is both narrow and long, allowing for multiple wraps around the neck to ensure maximum comfort and warmth during the winter chill. It boasts an extraordinary softness. The design features a mix of weaves and flowing stripes in shades of rust, red, orange, and navy, creating a contemporary aesthetic. Ideal for complementing various winter ensembles, this scarf makes an excellent gift that any man would cherish, regardless of his fashion sensibility. Proudly crafted in our Lyon, France workshop.
INSPIRATION

Drawing inspiration from geological strata, our design mimics the stratification found in ancient rock formations. This results in a pattern of irregular, fragmented stripes in a palette of colors that seem almost haphazard. Our stylist selected a mix of wools with different weights to enhance the design's visibility and to produce fuller fringes. Despite the variety, the color scheme is still warm, featuring shades of red, rust, orange, and navy, which collectively brighten the entire creation.

OUTFIT PAIRING IDEAS

Effortlessly pairing with nearly any outfit, from classic to casual, this scarf brings a touch of sophistication to your look. It complements a brown coat or suit, a leather jacket, or a neutral-colored parka perfectly. Truly, it's an essential item in any man's wardrobe.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

For washing a scarf made mostly of wool and silk, hand washing is recommended. Avoid soaking it for an extended period. To dry, place the scarf within a cotton towel to absorb the surplus water without wringing or twisting. Afterwards, lay the scarf out flat to dry. Ironing with high heat and steam can rejuvenate the scarf's softness and gentle feel. Although using a dryer is strictly prohibited, opting for professional dry cleaning is a suitable alternative.

TRADITIONALLY MADE

The scarf's weaving technique involves intertwining silk warp threads with merino wool weft threads, following a unique pattern. This is achieved using Jacquard looms at the Fabrique d’Écharpe weaving studio. The Jacquard loom, invented in 1801 by Joseph Marie Jacquard from Lyon, was the first programmable mechanical system, using punched cards to weave designs with various colored threads. Our artisanal weaving knowledge, passed down since 1880, enables us to use modern electronically controlled looms to produce scarves of exceptional quality while preserving the traditional Lyon Jacquard weaving methods.
