INSPIRATION

Observing the Metropolis, one envisions towering skyscrapers, expansive buildings, panoramic bay windows, and broad avenues—all woven into a geometric and linear design that boasts a wealth of detail. The color scheme is restrained, dominated by shades of dark blue and black, bestowing upon it an air of charm and sophistication.

OUTFIT PAIRING IDEAS

This timeless scarf is effortless to style and pairs seamlessly with jackets, coats, leather jackets, or parkas. Its color palette complements gray, black, anthracite, and navy beautifully. Additionally, it can bring an elegant flair to a casual jeans ensemble.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

To wash a wool-based scarf, hand washing is recommended. Immerse the scarf in lukewarm water, being cautious as wool is sensitive to extreme temperatures. Employ a mild detergent or one formulated specifically for wool. Avoid prolonged soaking. For drying, encase the scarf in a cotton towel to absorb excess moisture without wringing or twisting. Lay the scarf flat to air dry. Ironing on a high heat setting with steam can rejuvenate the scarf's softness and texture. Although machine drying is not an option, professional dry cleaning is a suitable alternative.

TRADITIONALLY MADE

The Jacquard method, used to craft this scarf, intertwines silk warp threads with Merino wool weft threads in a distinct pattern. This process is carried out at the Fabrique d’Écharpe weaving atelier using Jacquard looms. Invented by Joseph Marie Jacquard, a native of Lyon, in 1801, the Jacquard loom was the first mechanical system programmable with perforated cards, allowing the creation of designs with various colored threads. Owing to the artisanal weaving expertise passed down since 1880, we now utilize electronically controlled looms that ensure the scarf's production is of exceptional quality while honoring the traditional Lyon Jacquard weaving techniques.
