A magnificent women’s cheiche of very good quality, bright and colorful. The pairing of cotton and silk adds a natural feel to this piece, while rayon makes it softer and more comfortable. A violet and turquoise floral pattern interspersed with khaki stripes is spread over the length of the scarf. This scarf is 100% made in France at our Lyon workshop on our Jacquard looms. Impeccable finish, fine hem on the lengths, and small fringes stopped by a machine stitch.
INSPIRATION

This scarf’s design is inspired by a floral motif. Meant to evoke the freshness of spring, rows of grasses and flowers intertwine throughout the cheiche to form friezes and a few stripes arrange everything into a field of flowers. The colors chosen are soft and spring-like: turquoise, violet, and khaki.

OUTFIT PAIRING IDEAS

This cheiche is meant to be worn in spring and summer over dresses or small light jackets in shades of pink, navy, or khaki. It is be perfect to add a touch of elegance to a casual chic look. A perfect gift for Mother’s Day or a birthday.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

To wash a cotton-based scarf, we recommend hand washing. Iron on low heat with steam to maintain all the natural properties of the fibers that make up this scarf. While it cannot be put in the dryer, you may take it in for dry cleaning.

TRADITIONALLY MADE

The weaving method used to make this scarf, known as the Jacquard method, involves the interweaving of a rayon warp thread with a cotton and silk weft thread, using a specific pattern. In order to do this, the Fabrique d’Écharpe weaving atelier uses Jacquard looms. The Jacquard loom was developed by Lyon-native Joseph Marie Jacquard in 1801, who created the first mechanical system that could be programmed with perforated cards to create a design by interweaving different colored threads. Thanks to the artisan weaving knowledge transmitted to us from generation to generation since 1880, today we have electronically controlled looms that allow for the scarf to be produced with impeccable quality all while respecting the purest methods of traditional Lyon Jacquard weaving.
