GREY, COTTON BLEND SCARF - CHICAGO

Inspired by contemporary visual art trends, the designer combined diamond forms in such a way that at first glance one sees only lines, a very masculine geometric design. The color scheme is a classic look, with gray, denim blue, and off-white, while it still has a touch of modernity with the addition of a bit classic red. An original design by "Fabrique d’Écharpe".

To swash a scarf made of natural materials, we advise washing by hand with a detergent made for washing at low temperatures. Do not let it soak for too long. Dry it in a cotton towel before hanging it up on a hanger to dry fully. Iron on high heat with vapor to preserve the volume of the scarf’s natural fibers. While putting it in the dryer is absolutely out of the question, you can take it in for dry cleaning instead.

The weaving method used to make this scarf, known as the Jacquard method, involves the interweaving of a silk warp thread with a cotton weft thread, using a specific pattern. In order to do this, the Fabrique d’Écharpe weaving atelier uses Jacquard looms. The Jacquard loom was developed by Lyon-native Joseph Marie Jacquard in 1801, who created the first mechanical system that could be programmed with perforated cards to create a design by interweaving different colored threads. Thanks to the artisan weaving knowledge transmitted to us from generation to generation since 1880, today we have electronically controlled looms that allow for the scarf to be produced with impeccable quality all while respecting the purest methods of traditional Lyon Jacquard weaving.
