Based on our own library of family designs going back to the 19th century, we chose six different floral motifs to create this scarf. Flowers, individual petals, stems, and bamboo served as the basis for our designs which are equally spread out throughout the length of this beautiful oversized stole which we named “Jeanette.” With each design having its own color palette, the end result is both creative and innovative and will serve to highlight your own style. Here, we chose to create visual interest by adding a splash of lavender to anise green and Khaki color palette.
This style is best suited to be worn in winter or mid-season, thanks to its beautiful fall color scheme dominated by green and mauve. It pairs perfectly with chestnut brown leather jackets, marine blue coats, or beige jackets. This accessory is ideal for completing a simple yet elegant look.
To wash this cotton, silk, and rayon scarf, we advise washing by hand. Rinse it well until the water runs clear. Lay it flat to dry and iron on low heat using the vapor feature so as to maintain all the natural properties of the fibers which make up the scarf. While you cannot put it in the dryer, you may take it in for dry cleaning.
Our Jacquard method used to make this scarf is a modernized evolution of the weaving method developed by Lyon-native Joseph Marie Jacquard in 1801, who created the first mechanical system that could be programmed with perforated cards to create a design. Thanks to technological advancements over time, our looms are now electronically controlled via very efficient software that allows the scarf to be produced quicker and with a higher level of quality than before. We stay up to date with the latest technological progress to keep the quality of our work in line with modern standards. We created this scarf in the purest tradition of Jacquard weaving, resulting in a perfect product thanks to our savoir-faire passed down from generation to generation since 1880. To make this scarf even softer to the touch, following the weaving process, we softened the fibers with a special wash we created to give the fabric a more gentle feel all while strengthening its resistance.
