BLEU SILK COTTON SCARF - EMOTION

The design draws inspiration from pastel sketches of flowers, characterized by their soft edges and delicately shaded petals, which lend a gentle allure to the scarf. In this creation, the flowers are depicted with exaggerated proportions. A striking color palette of bright blue and grey is employed to provide contrast.

This floral pattern, rendered in blue and grey, can serve as an accessoiry for many items in your wardrobe. For instance, it pairs well with a marine blue or dark grey coat, a denim jacket, or a royal blue parka. The large scarf lends an air of elegance to your ensemble.

For a scarf crafted from all-natural materials, we recommend hand washing with a detergent designed for cold water. Avoid soaking it for an extended period. After washing, wrap the scarf in a cotton towel to dry before hanging. Use a high-heat steam iron to maintain the natural fibers' fullness. While machine drying is not an option, dry cleaning is a suitable alternative.

The Jacquard method, used to craft this scarf, intertwines silk warp threads with cotton weft threads following a distinct pattern. The Fabrique d’Écharpe weaving studio employs Jacquard looms for this purpose. Invented by Joseph Marie Jacquard, a native of Lyon, in 1801, the Jacquard loom was the first programmable mechanical system, using punched cards to weave designs with various colored threads. Owing to the artisanal weaving expertise passed down since 1880, we now utilize electronically controlled looms that ensure the scarf's production is of the highest quality, while still honoring the traditional Lyon Jacquard weaving techniques.
