BLACK, WOOL BLEND STOLE - SENTIMENT

The starting point for creating the design of this stole is the pairing of several large stylized floral patterns. For more originality and depth, our designer also chose to add narrow bands in either small dots or small rose petals. The result is both simple when viewed from afar but very complex when studied up-close. With this black on black color scheme, everything about this scarf is based on subtleness and discreteness.

This scarf is easily paired with a suede or leather overcoat, blouse, or parka, and really can go with anything that is navy, black, beige or khaki colored. We also envisioned it to accessorize more natural looks in white or écru. The blend of threads from the same color family allows it to be easily paired with other pieces, it's a false plain result.

To wash a scarf comprised mostly of wool, we advise doing so by hand, in tepid water, with a detergent intended for natural materials. Do not let it soak for too long, and rinse it out until the water runs clear. Dry it off delicately in a cotton towel without twisting it. To iron, use a high setting with the vapor function to restore the softness of the scarf. While you absolutely cannot put it in the dryer, we do actually advise dry cleaning for this piece.

The Jacquard method used to make this large stole is a weaving method developed by Lyon-native Joseph Marie Jacquard in 1801, who created the first mechanical system that could be programmed with perforated cards to create a design. Thanks to technological advancements over time, our looms are now electronically controlled via very efficient software that allows the scarf to be produced quicker and with a higher level of quality than before.We stay up to date with the latest technological progress to keep the quality of our work in line with modern standards. We created this scarf in the purest tradition of Jacquard weaving, resulting in a perfect product thanks to our savoir-faire passed down from generation to generation since 1880. From start to finish, and all throughout the weaving process, we take the greatest care in creating this luxury product.
